The album Flames is considered a collectible and authentic example of roots reggae from the late 1980s. It stands out for its high-quality production and the involvement of leading musicians of the time.
Released in 1988 on Mango Records, Flames was produced by renowned Jamaican producer Jack Ruby (Lawrence Lindo), who also worked with artists such as Burning Spear. The album features ten tracks, including "Beverly Hills", "Blackman World", "Reggae Music", "Flames", and "Dance If You Dancin'."
Foundation is a Jamaican reggae trio formed in 1977 in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica. The group consisted of lead vocalist Errol "Keith" Douglas and harmony singers Euston "Ipal" Thomas and Emilio "Father" Smiley. They were active from the late 1970s through the 1990s, releasing several albums, including Flames (1988), Heart Feel It (1988), and One Shirt (1995).
