DRY & HEAVY is considered the creme de la creme of Japanese dub reggae. Dub artists are mostly DJs and producers all together, but this band performs live.
In 1991 the band consisted of two members, and their works were backed by many musicians, including two vocalists. The sound is slow, relaxed and complex and the extraordinary voice of their singer, Likkle (a word meaning "small" in Jamaican patois) Mai, seems to wrap you in warm woolen sheets.
In addition to garnering fans in Japan, the band has managed to captivate non-Japanese audiences as well. They have had several releases with European, American and Australian labels as well as overseas tours. Unfortunately, the band has not released anything since 2002; although the members have occasionally collaborated with other artists, the members are mainly working on their solo projects.

DRY & HEAVY es considerada la creme de la creme del dub reggae japones. Los artistas de dub son en su mayoría DJs y productores todos juntos, pero esta banda actúa en directo.
En 1991 la banda constaba de dos miembros, y sus trabajos fueron respaldados por muchos músicos, entre ellos, dos vocalistas. El sonido es lento, relajado y complejo y la extraordinaria voz de su cantante, Likkle (palabra que significa “pequeño” en el patois de Jamaica) Mai, parece que te envuelva en cálidas sábanas de lana.
Además de acaparar fans en Japón, la banda ha conseguido cautivar tambien al público no japones. Han tenido varios lanzamientos con firmas europeas, americanas y australianas así como giras en el extranjero. Desafortunadamente, la banda no ha lanzado nada desde el 2002; aunque ocasionalmente los miembros han colaborado con otros artistas, los miembros están trabajando principalmente en sus proyectos en solitario.
