Action Fire, Given name Fitzgerald McKoy, was born in the parish of St Mary. His career started out in the early 1990s on community sound systems and jukeboxes.
He began recording under the moniker Major Fire and released God is Good and Ride Me Mind for producer King Jammy's .
He later changed his name to Action Fire and in 1994 he got his first major hit when he went to Record Factory to make a dublplate.
“I met the operators of a Japanese sound system who wanted me to do a dub plate with Merciless and Little Hero, and it was there that the God Alone collaboration came about,” he said.
